About Soccer Skills Academy

Alan Pike who started Soccer Skills Academy in July 09 brings has a wealth of playing & coaching experience. He has five years plus youth soccer coaching experience having spent many years coaching in the USA, Scotland and here in Ireland. He has coached for companies in the USA such as Storm Soccer Academy in New York and spent 2 years for U.K Elite Soccer in New Jersey. The latter being one of the biggest soccer coaching biggest companies in the U.S and where Alan gained valuable knowledge and experience from.

Whilst living in Scotland he was a community coach at Hamilton Academicals F.C who play in the Scottish Premier League.

In Ireland he trained the Under 15’s team at Arklow Town F.C who for the first time as a team won the treble in 09.

On the playing side he represented schoolboy teams such as St Fergals F.C and Wolfe Tone F.C in Bray, Co Wicklow and St Joseph Boys F.C and Home Farm F.C in Co. Dublin.

He was awarded a 4 Year Soccer Scholarship to the USA in 1999 and played with Universities in the state of Virginia. During those years playing at University he was awarded all-conference 1st team player 4 years in a row and was awarded All-American in his final year. He scored 46 goals in his 4 years as a University player.

Alan has also played professional for teams in the USA and Scotland.
